Part of my quest for truth began when I noticed the similarities running through all of the brilliant works I was reading. I had noticed that Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now" had a lot of similarities to "A Course in Miracles." Time, in the course, as in Tolle, is merely an illusion. The course goes even further, and states that the ONLY purposeful use for time is for healing. In other words, time used for any other purpose (read: money, travel, work, play, NFL games, skateboarding, fill in the blank) is actually doing nothing, accomplishing nothing, and "chasing after wind."
The course goes on further than this, though. It posits that time is such an illusion that it is no more, and was actually over and done long ago. Everything we observe is merely the recollection of a tiny tick of time when the "original sin," the "fall of man," the banishment from Eden, or whatever you want to call it occurred and was immediately then corrected, never to be experienced again in reality but only in the mind dreaming of illusion (read: you and me.)
My mind has a hard time grasping this. I am sure yours does too. After all, everything you believed for all these years never really happened, if one is to believe the course. Luckily, the course does not ask us to believe this. It merely asks us to read about this and consider this. It knows how used to the world we are, and how much resistance our egos have to these "crazy thoughts."
The good thing I notice when I think about this is that when I do spend part of my day fully in the now and telling myself this whole place is an illusion, that part of the day goes very well indeed. Better than lots of other parts of the day, like when I am caught up unconscious in "work," thought, or anything of the world. So, my feeling about time is this: I will tell my mind that it is over and gone, I will feel peace while thinking this way, and at the other times I will be caught up in the "world" so I won't really be thinking at all in any important sense of the word "think," until the next time I can get myself to that quiet peaceful place outside of time and mind.

Copernicus wasn't afraid to think outside the box!
I am reading an interesting book called The G.O.D. Experiments by Gary Schwartz PhD, subtitled How Science is Finding God in Everything, Including Us. A chapter discussing the Copernican Revolution really grabbed my attention.
His point is this: Before science even thought up the idea that the Earth revolved around the Sun, the basic belief that the Sun rose, revolved and set around the Earth was a "correct" conclusion based on observation of what was available to the five senses; every morning the sun "rose" over the horizon from the east and "set" over the horizon to the west.
Today we find ourselves collectively at the same place as our ancestors. We observe our bodies going through our daily routines, separate from all the other bodies we see and interact with. Based on the observations of the world we see, smell, hear, taste and touch we conclude that we ARE separate bodies separated from each other and from our source, wherever it is we came from.
Suppose that we learn new ideas about what we really are. Suppose that we are skeptical enough to entertain the thought that we are in reality only dreaming of this world, while we are actually safe with the Source, and in reality we never left.
We would be just like Copernicus. If we tell everyone we meet that we have found the way to peace, we would be possibly laughed at, or at least typecast into a group of "crazies" who believe there is a way out of everyone else's daily fear-based system. Churches might even take offense to the idea that we might espouse: that God or The Divine has nothing whatsoever to do with the physical world of form that we observe on the screen.
Copernicus and his ilk were jailed, tortured, and even executed for their "wacky" beliefs. Luckily so far anyway we run no risk of persecution, but is it a bad thing to challenge the world's everyday thinking? Look around, is a lot of this really anything to write home about? The more I experience the inner, the less attraction the outer offers. I prefer to believe the earth revolves around the sun! Even though both the earth and the sun are merely ideas in our collective mind that sleeps!
"For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to deal with it." - Patrick Henry

A Ship is Safe in Port, but that is not what Ships are For!
What are your goals? No, not how much money you want to make. Or how big of a house you want to buy. Why are you here reading this? I ask rhetorically because I believe you have a spiritual goal or else you would not be reading this post.
I also believe that if you have been practicing the exercises we learned together, you are feeling less magnetic attraction pulling you toward the pile of money or the big house, though you may be piling up money as a result of your practicing! But I bet it is not the tantalizing goal dangling in front of your nose that it used to be.
This little essay is about a side effect of the practices we have worked on. Tell me if you notice that when you do the exercises, you have less fear. Fear of that daily background buzz of uncomfortableness the world delivers a steady diet of every day.
A student/teacher (we are all both all the time!) told me recently that the fear in her daily life is going by the wayside. She is slowly materializing into a fearless woman after years of not being very fearless, and she credits these simple exercises.
Think about the many side benefits we may be getting when we practice. Now is the time to re-double the work and the I Love You's and the forgiveness thoughts. Now is all there is, for we will NOT be content with FUTURE happiness!

Walk a Mile for a Camel?
Paraphrasing the most awakened man in history is always fun! Jesus said in so many words, "It is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to achieve the kingdom of heaven."
Churches, in their infinite convenient wisdom, will often take that type of proverb and turn it into a sales pitch for the donation plate, insinuating that Jesus meant that riches are evil, so "leave them all here with us and you will be poor and thus able to reach heaven faster." Ha! How convenient...and how wrong!
What is being said is what we have previously discussed....that by concentrating on the "worldly" side, which is the ego's side of the mind, one ignores the inner light that needs to be accessed in order to return to spirit, the "correct" side of our mind. So the proverb really means, to paraphrase again, "If you concentrate on the world all the time, you are making the dream-world into a reality for you, and you will never even begin to listen to spirit, which beckons you back to the real world, but only if you choose to listen."
I can't tell you how many times I notice that by tuning out the world through forgiveness and "I Love You," the world just becomes such a better place to me. Things go better, people are nicer, I have to compare it again to fixing the projector. So much better than using a Sharpie(TM) on the screen!

Another Projector Repaired!
A very "aware" acquaintance who I have learned a lot from had never heard of the "clearing" we have learned. I introduced her to our "clearing" method. She had some fantastic results which she credits directly to saying "I Love You" over and over to the source inside her mind.
She had been stressing over an upcoming trip....how would she get to the airport? Also, she had investment property that needed to be prepped to be ready to rent but who would do it and where would the money come from? To boot, she had a daughter who never communicated and she had felt badly about the distance between her and this child.
Shortly after learning of the clearing method I teach, she miraculously was approached by someone who would be glad to give her a free ride to the airport. Incredibly, she ran into a handyman who did the entire paint and repair job quickly and well on her investment property for a very reasonable fee. Yes, you guessed it. Her daughter called out of the blue, in tears, wanting to finally let it all out and communicate.
I have paraphrased a bit for this posting, but this new seeker is convinced it is the clearing that brought all this good fortune very quickly into her life. This is an experienced metaphysical woman, but she learned a shortcut to peace and prosperity, and I wanted to share her experiences with all of you.
Persistence is the key.......try mentally saying "I Love You" today as often as you can, while emptying your mind of all past thoughts and future worries. I promise you will be glad you did, and I look forward to your email describing the miracles you will soon be experiencing.

The Inspiration Age is here!
We were all promised such a bright future. Remember the end of the Space Age? At the beginning of the Information Age? I do! Work weeks in the wonderful future would be shorter, because machines would do all the work! Well, work weeks are very short indeed, just ask anyone who is unemployed!
With this wonderful new Age, who would have dreamed that most families would need at least two workers to bring home enough dough to pay the rent?! Treaties like NAFTA and CAFTA have moved jobs out of the USA but brought no new jobs in. Are we better off than our parents' generation? Has all this Information Overload really helped us? It has helped the banks and the government! I won't start down that slippery slope here though!
My point is this.....people are realizing that there "has got to be more!" But it is not "things" they seek, it is something less tangible. But more important. "Things" didn't satisfy anybody, therefore people are turning inward more and more to find the happiness that has eluded them. I propose that finding the inner light is what they need. Our four-step program can accomplish this! In an instant! Never forget, we are not content with future happiness!

Are we having fun......?
A friend wrote after listening to some rather dry cd's about all these metaphysical topics, and wondered aloud "Where is all the fun?" It made me think to say the least. But an answer as usual was found close by. The fun is that in this world, we do not have to perform perfect behavior. Behavior is irrelevant as long as we are forgiving everything we see. The truth, which simply IS, it doesn't need to be "found" or "figured out," is the idea that only spirit actually exists. The Source or Spirit or God, whatever you want to call that which is in you and nowhere else, is very unconcerned with what goes on in our daytime dreams of this earth. As long as you are forgiving everything here, let inspiration guide your actions and you cannot go wrong, and fun is a big part of the "Happy Dream" which is our goal right now, not in some imagined future which doesn't exist and never will. Perfect forgiveness yes, perfect behavior? NO!
